it means that you work for a company for a limited number of hours getting valuable experience in the process.

being in school I was offered a ton of internships, but I had to work and focus on school, and when I did manage to squeeze one in...it literally killed me to go through what I did working a job, internship, and school

I am trained and qualified Electronics and Control Engineer. Pity that I hate doing it as I can earn 3 to 4 times I am earning at the moment.

Been working for 2 Big American companies in my time. One you will all know if you listen to any audio sound (Dolby). The other is famous for its CEO spend 10 Grand on bathroom equipment and think it is Ok to use shareholders money to buy it (Tyco).

Now I am working for a German company where I am getting paid to next to nothing and still get month bonuses. Pay rises are due in the next 2 months and again in January. God I feel guilty getting paid to do nothing and it will go on for a two month before I need to lift a finger. At least I have the satisfaction that what I do helps sick people and sport stars like Wayne Rooney.
