Because of of its infamous wars and its people scattared to far away nations from US, Canada, Europe, HK and Australasia. Which side do you state yourself as? If so your parents were boat people escaping the war torn country its Vietnam Cong Hoa or do you support the regime of Ho Chi Minh so that would be Cong Sang Vietnam.
Which one are you fellow Vpop members?

Depending on which generation? My Grandparents generation fought and supported Ho Chi Minh. My Grandfather actually was one of Bac Ho close allies before he was killed.

My Parents generation is what you called Vietnam Cong Hoa. So it makes me Vietnam Cong Hoa.

same goes for me aswell

and yea most parents in that generation still hold a grude (not sure if thats the right spelling) against the whole thing of the war and stuff like that.

im half chinese/hk and half vietnamese. more viet coz im more close to my mum's side of the family...ahhh wait ah, both my parents are chinese/viet tooo...im confused...aniwho.

I was adopted so I don't know my family's situation in the war. However I  now reside in America with American (Caucasian) parents so I guess I should not support Ho Chi Minh and the government he had.

Isn't it hard to say where you really stand? Since most of us escaped VN, of course we're going to side with the republic side of the war.
