I'm viet...But I was born in Australia...I am a south born...both of my parents are south-borned in Vietnam...But I'm also 1/16 chinese (can't speak a word let alone read it)

bà xã is a nickname you refer to you wife...it's another term for wife in viet but more of slang you know what I mean? "vợ" is wife in vietnamese

Ma/Me = mum Ba/Bo = Dad :wink: Má and Bố (I don't know if you can see that "o" but it's the one with the hat symbole with a "xác" on it) is more of the northy people... I'm a southy...we southies say Ba and Mẹ (it sounds more polite) seee?? Chi Bao tries to be polite!!

Try hearing the old asian mothers speak...my workmate thinks they sound so rude cos they're so loud...but when she heard me speak viet on the phone with my mum she like 8O :?
